Richard L. Wyatt attended Auburn University and graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1970. Rick is a 1985 graduate of Jones Law School in Montgomery, Alabama. He has been married to his wife Susan for 33 years and they have 4 children, Craig, Natalie, Hannah & Grant. Rick & Susan's two youngest children were adopted. Rick's commitment to help birth mothers and fathers, adoptive parents, and children through this lengthy and emotional journey has allowed him to be a part of countless adoptions. Family Adoption Services was incorporated in 1991 and he acted as its legal advisor and attorney. In January of 2008, Rick assumed the responsibilities as president and director of Family Adoption Services. He handles Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (ICPC) cases for domestic and international adoptions on a regular basis. He handles related adoptions, family members adopting children and step parents adopting spouses' children.
Adoption is a large part of Rick's law practice. In addition, Rick has extensive trial and appellate practice skills and experience. Social Security Disability, Worker's Compensation, Personal Injury, Wills, Estates, Insurance Claims and Probate are all part of his law practice. Adoption, however, is Rick's heart.
